A Fietsplaat doesn't roll off an assembly line. It's built one at a time, by hand, in our own workshop in the Netherlands — by people who take cycling as seriously as you do.

No mass production — real handcraft
We deliberately choose quality over quantity. Every plate is milled, finished, checked and packed by the same craftspeople. So you can be sure the Fietsplaat under your trainer is just as solid as the very first one we ever made.
It starts with the right board
We work with high-grade birch plywood: strong, stable and beautifully finished. Every board is hand-picked and inspected before it enters the workshop.
Shaped with precision
On the milling machine each plate gets exactly the right shape and cut-outs. Millimetre work — because the fit under your trainer and the balance of the motion depend on it.
An eye for detail
At the workbench every edge and corner is checked and smoothed. No sharp edges, no rough spots — just a finish we're happy to put our name on.
Every part checked on its own
The dampers, supports and fixings are tested one by one. Anything that doesn't measure up is removed. That's what keeps the motion smooth and your Fietsplaat quiet and stable for years.
The finishing touch
Then comes assembly: parts are fitted and the Fietsplaat mark is applied by hand. Small details — but exactly the ones that turn ‘a product’ into ‘your Fietsplaat’.
Packed with care
Finally everything goes into a custom-made box: the plate, the parts and a clear manual, each neatly in place. Ready to slide straight under your trainer at home.
